ClonerAlliance standalone video recorders are very suitable for recording video and audio from media stick, media device, set-top box, etc. due to their built-in H.264/H.265 encoder and the PC-free recording feature. Then how to connect the devices? Take Roku as an example.

Step 1: Connect Roku to IN port on ClonerAlliance hardware via an HDMI cable.

Step 2: Connect ClonerAlliance hardware from OUT port to TV via an HDMI cable.

Step 3: Plug the USB flash drive or external hard drive into ClonerAlliance hardware.

Step 4: Plug the power adapter into the power socket and plug the other end into the 5V/2A port of ClonerAlliance hardware.

Step 5: Power on ClonerAlliance hardware after all devices and cables are well connected.

Tips: Please use a premium USB flash drive or mobile hard disk with high speed to avoid unexpected problems such as file loss.

The following product recommendations are made for you based on specific functions:

4K recording: ClonerAlliance UHD Lite, ClonerAlliance UHD Pro

Playback with remote: ClonerAlliance Box Pro, ClonerAlliance UHD Lite, ClonerAlliance UHD Pro

Schedule recording: ClonerAlliance Box Pro, ClonerAlliance Box Evolve, ClonerAlliance UHD Pro

Convert analog to digital: ClonerAlliance Box Pro, ClonerAlliance Box Evolve

However, if you want to use TV as a HDMI video source and record content from the TV built-in app, it will not work in this way. TV just works as a monitor or display and cannot be used as a video source.

Note: All ClonerAlliance products do not support displaying or capturing any content protected by HDCP.
